A human adult or animal is a creature that has developed to its full potential. In the context of humans an adult's term has implications that are based on the legal and social world. A legal adult, in contrast to "minors" or "non-adults can be defined as someone of the majority age and therefore considered independent, responsible and independent. They are also known as "majors", they can also be said as having reached the age of adulthood. The age of 18 is the legal adult age, but the definition of adulthood can vary by country, legal rights or the development of a person's psychological.

At the point that a person reaches physical and intellectual maturity, this is called adulthood. The age of adulthood typically begins when a person reaches an age that is 21. Following middle age (starting at around 40), comes old age (around age 60). Adulthood is divided into three distinct stages beginning with the early years of adulthood (18-mid-30s) between mid-30s and the mid-60s then late adulthood from mid-60s up to end of life. It is the time of physical maturity that we are at when we turn 20 to 40 years aged. The size and weight of our bodies, however, may slightly rise. In early adulthood the physical capabilities of our bodies reach their peak. These include muscle strength and reaction time.
